Karnataka Bank has planned certain initiatives related to corporate social responsibility (CSR) to widen the scope of its Founders’ Day celebration.
A press release by the bank said here on Tuesday that the bank has been consistently supporting various initiatives of social relevance in the field of education, sanitation, drinking water, healthcare, environment protection, and promotion of heritage and culture.
To commemorate the Founders’ Day on February 18, the bank will install solar lighting system at Kadri Park in Mangaluru city and install traffic barricades to regulate the traffic in the city. The bank will also donate a homecare vehicle to ‘Pain and Palliative Care Society' in Thrissur district of Kerala.
On February 18, D Subbarao, former Governor of Reserve Bank of India and Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the National University of Singapore, will deliver the Founders’ Day lecture.
Founded on February 18 1924, Karnataka Bank will be stepping into its 93rd year on Thursday. The bank has presence in 21 states and two union territories with 713 branches and 1210 ATMs across India.
