Karnataka Bank Ltd has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hyderabad-based BASIX Sub-K iTransactions Ltd for providing end-to-end business correspondent services in the 81 gram panchayats covering 356 villages in Karnataka and Chhattisgarh.

A bank statement said here on Monday that the bank would provide service through customer service points maintained by business correspondent agents of BASIX Sub-K iTransactions Ltd.

Meera Aranha, General Manager of Karnataka Bank Ltd, and D. Sattaiah, Managing Director of BASIX Sub-K iTransactions Ltd, signed the agreement in this regard in Mangalore recently.

The statement said the bank has over 559 branches and BASIX Sub-K iTransactions Ltd has extensive network of business correspondent agents across India.
