Karnataka Bank ties up with BCG for transformation initiatives

Karnataka Bank Ltd has partnered with the Boston Consulting Group (India) Pvt Ltd for its transformation initiatives. The transformation project -- ‘KBL Vikaas’ -- was launched in Mangaluru on Wednesday.

A press release said here that the project is aimed at total transformation of the bank by re-positioning it as a ‘relevant and significant bank’ by focusing on technology and by keeping intact its core values and identity.

7 major areas

The bank has identified seven major intervention areas for this project.

They are: growth aspiration and strategies to achieve growth; rationalisation of service outlets, including digital channels; human resource management structure and strategy; stakeholders’ value enhancement initiatives; efficiency enhancement strategy; corporate branding and repositioning; and partnering and collaborating with Fintech companies, startups etc.

Quoting Mahabaleshwara MS, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank, the release said that the transformation exercise is a bold and timely initiative towards total transformation of the bank. The transformation journey will add values to all the stakeholders.

Saurabh Tripathi, Senior Partner and Director of BCG, said that Karnataka Bank is a time tested bank. BCG is committed to make it a successful and rewarding transformation in their endeavour to re-position the bank as a ‘New KBL’, he said.
