Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd plans to add around 100 branches by the end of FY14.
Till September this year, the bank had around 503 branches and looks to take its tally to over 600 by March.
According to Mahesh Balasubramanian, Executive Vice President & Head Branch Banking, Kotak Mahindra Bank, it will add around 24 to 34 branches in the rural areas, another 25-odd branches will be added in semi-urban ones.
Of the existing branches, 76 are in rural areas and 119 are in semi-urban ones.
"It is a conscious decision to try and penetrate in these unbanked and rural areas," he told reporters during a press conference here.
The bank's CASA (Current Account and Savings Account) stood at Rs 15,393 crore with a 25 per cent year-on-year growth.
CASA ratio, current account-savings account ratio to total deposit, stood at 29 per cent for the period.
