KPMG gets Karnataka Bank biz rejig project

Karnataka Bank Ltd has entrusted the work of conducting business process re-engineering (BPR) of the bank to KPMG Advisory Services (P) Ltd.

Mr P. Jayarama Bhat, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank, told Business Line that the bank has taken up this initiative to increase the growth trajectory and improve various levels of working.

The initiative has been launched to facilitate the bank in achieving its near- and medium-tem strategic business goals and enhance the operational efficiencies, employees and branch productivity. The initiative will cut across multiple functions and departments of the bank.

This initiative is to find whether there is any gap in the working of the organisation.

The duration of the BPR project will be six months. This will be followed by a full-scale rollout of formulated initiatives across the bank, he said.
