Karur Vysya Bank will open a divisional office in Ernakulam shortly to administer its branches in Kerala. The divisional office will tap the full banking potential in the State, particularly NRI deposits, K. Venkataraman, Managing Director and CEO, said.

The bank has 13 branches in the State and one more branch will be opened in Thalassery soon, he added.

The recently launched ‘KVB Gruhapravesh’, a home loan product exclusively for NRE customers, is getting encouraging response.

As a festival bonanza, the loan is offered at 11 per cent interest rate. Also an exclusive car loan is also available for NRI customers at a special interest rate of 11.50 per cent, he said.

The bank has 517 branches across the country and another 26 branches will be opened in the next couple of months.
