KVG Bank raises deposit rates on select maturities

Dharwad-based Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank, a regional rural bank sponsored by Syndicate Bank, has raised its domestic term deposit rates with effect from December 14.

Ashok Reddy Nukala, Chairman, KVGB, said rate revision has been done to encourage and increase the habit of public savings.

Senior citizens will receive 1 per cent more than the card rate with a maximum of 10.10 per cent.

New rates

Following are the revised rates (old rates in brackets):

15 days to 29 days 5% (5%),

30 days to 45 days – 6% (6%),

46 days to 90 days 7.75% (7.10%),

91 days to 120 days 8% (8%),

121 days to 180 days 8.75% (8%),

181 days to 269 days 9% (8.75%),

270 days to 364 days 9% (9%),

1 year only - 9.10% (9.05%),

above 1 year but less than 3 years - 9.10% (9.10%).

The bank has made no change in above 3 years tenor and 6 years and above tenor. That continues as 9.05 per cent and 9 per cent respectively.
