Manappuram Finance Ltd has achieved a 46 per cent increase in its net profit in the first quarter of FY’13 at Rs 157.77 crore against Rs 107.83 crore in the corresponding period previous fiscal.
Operating income for the quarter recorded a growth of 45.63 per cent at Rs 711.22 crore (Rs 488.36 crore).
PBT grew to Rs 233.59 crore from Rs 159.61 crore, while provision towards income tax stood at Rs 75.81 crore (Rs 51.78 crore).
The company also recorded a 20 per cent growth in its gold loan Assets Under Management which stood at Rs 10,739 crore (Rs 8,951 crore).
Manappuram opened another 63 branches during the quarter taking its national network to 2,971 spread across 26 states and Union Territories, a release said.
