At a time when the Union Government is promoting small industries by 'Make in India' initiative, the public sector lender, Canara Bank today informed that advances to the micro small and medium enterprises (MSME) is the prime focus area for the bank.
"MSME finance is the prime focus area and the bank has been providing competitive schemes for MSME sector at competitive terms & interest rates," said P S Rawat, Executive Director, Canara Bank at a function held here on Monday.
The bank had organised an award ceremony for MSME entrepreneurs Canara Bank, Ahmedabad to felicitate best performing units in Manufacturing & Service Category.
Apart from above awards were also given for Best Emerging Entrepreneur, Best Women Entrepreneur, Best Technology Innovations and Best CSR Initiative.
The function was chaired by Prakash Chandra Sahoo, Regional Director of RBI.
The programme was followed by MSME mega Credit camp in which total 50 sanctions or In-Principle sanctions worth Rs. 160 crore across Gujarat were delivered.
