New India Assurance has launched a combination product for lower-income groups that will have, among others, life, medical and personal accident covers.
“We have launched an insurance product for the lower-income population, like domestic help, with an annual premium of Rs 800.
“This plan will offer life cover of Rs 1 lakh to the family in case of death and critical illness. It will also cover hospitalisation costs and surgeries up to a limit of Rs 50,000. The plan also offers accident cover and property insurance,” said G. Srinivasan, Chairman and Managing Director of New India Assurance Company, at a summit organised by Indian Merchants Chamber.
