The Reserve Bank of India’s Central Board, which met here on Thursday, discussed issues related to macro-economic developments and constitution of the Monetary Policy Committee.
Chaired by RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan, the Board also discussed two other specific areas of operations of the Bank — the Bank’s budget and the activities of the Board for Regulation of Payment and Settlement Systems for the year ended March 2016. RBI’s Central Board, which is meeting after seven years, was attended by Deputy Governors Urjit Patel, R Gandhi, SS Mundra and NS Vishwanathan.
The other RBI Directors of the Central Board who attended the meeting were Nachiket Mor, Damodar Acharya, N Chandrasekaran, Bharat Doshi and Sudhir Mankad. Government nominee director and Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das also attended the meeting.
