State Bank of Hyderabad is wooing women customers with higher rate of interest on deposits to mark International Women’s Day on Thursday.
On the year-year term deposits, it is offering 10 per cent interest rate per annum, which is 50 basis points higher than the normal, prevailing rate.
This concession will be applicable to fresh deposits from public only. The senior citizen women will be eligible for an extra interest of 0.50 per cent.
SBH branches will also conduct women-customers meet. Other initiatives to be taken up include sponsoring of crash course on culinary arts, extending working hours up to 6.30 p.m. (including locker operation) on March 8-9, 2012, to mobilise deposits from women customers on account of special rate of interest offered.
Separate counter for women customers in the branches and opening of exclusive branches for the self-help groups were also on the anvil, according to a release.
