SBI General Insurance is expanding its footprint in Andhra Pradesh by opening a branch in Tirupati. It is SBI General’s third branch in the State 27th pan India.

Rakesh Sharma, Chief General Manager - State Bank of India, Hyderabad Circle Inaugurated the branch. Speaking on the occasion Bhaskar J Sarma, MD & CEO, SBI General Insurance said, “We see a good opportunity in serving the needs of the industries by providing customised insurance solutions”.

SBI General has achieved a premium income of Rs 295.86 crore in the first six months of the current fiscal. It is planning to serve the needs of individual, SME and corporate customers in the region by offering motor, health, personal accident insurance solutions.

By working closely with State Bank of India and its associate banks and with a growing network of agents, SBI General is well placed to serve the south Andhra Pradesh region, a press release said.
