Geojit BNP Paribas has appointed Sharad Sharma as the Executive Director to oversee the company’s operations. Satish Menon, also the Executive Director, will be responsible for all business lines.
Prior to this, Sharma was heading BNP Paribas’ private banking business as Country Head-Wealth Management.
Both the executive directors will report to Managing Director C.J. George, said a release from the company.
Sharma has over 30 years of experience in the financial sector covering liability management, retail banking, forex treasury, corporate banking, operations and wealth management in State Bank of India and BNP Paribas, said the release.
Currently, he is a member on the board of BNP Paribas Investment Services (India) Pvt. Ltd, Financial Planning Standards Board India and Financial Planning Corporation (India) Pvt. Ltd.
