Non-banking finance company Shriram City Union, a part of the diversified Shriram Group, has reported a 63.6 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 80.38 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011.
The Chennai-based company posted a net profit of Rs 49.13 crore during the corresponding period last year.
According to a company release, for the year ended March 31, 2011, the net profit stood at Rs 240.67 crore.
Total income for the quarter ended June 30, 2011, soared to Rs 415.13 crore against Rs 280.88 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.
For the year ended March 31, 2011, the total income stood at Rs 1,318 crore, the statement added.
