Srei Infrastructure reports 38% fall in Q1 profit

Srei Infrastructure reported a near 38 per cent fall in standalone net profit to the tune of Rs 23 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2015 as against the Rs 37 crore it reported in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Income (standalone) from operations during the quarter under review too slumped by 15 per cent to Rs 476 crore. It stood at Rs 560 crore in the April to June period (or Q1) of last fiscal, the company said in a filing to the BSE.

On a consolidated basis its net profit dipped by 64 per cent to Rs 23 crore; as against Rs 64 crore in the year ago period. Consolidated income from operations stood at Rs 797 crore (Rs 931 crore).

In terms of segment results, infrastructure equipment services reported a loss (before finance cost, unallocable expenses and tax) to the tune of Rs 8 crore. In the first quarter of FY-15, it had reported a profit of over Rs 11 crore.

The finance services segment, however, reported a profit (earnings before finance cost, unallocable expenses and tax) of Rs 43 crore (Rs 86 crore).
