Sundaram BNP Paribas net up 35%

Sundaram BNP Paribas Home Finance’s net profit has jumped by 35 per cent for 2012-13 compared with that of the previous year.

The Sundaram Finance subsidiary has reported a net profit of Rs 126 crore (Rs 94 crore) on disbursements of Rs 2,572.38 crore (Rs 1948.12 crore) for the year, according to a press release from the company. The growth in disbursements jumped 32 per cent. The release quoting Srinivas Acharya, Managing Director, Sundaram BNP Paribas Home Finance said: “The company’s expansion of its presence in South India has contributed to the growth.” It entered 20 new towns and cities taking its total branches to 100 with half of them in Tamil Nadu.
