Sunil Mehta, who was recently appointed as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Punjab National Bank (PNB), has assumed charge of his post at this public sector bank.
Prior to this appointment, Mehta was Executive Director of Corporation Bank since January 22, 2016.
A post graduate in Agriculture and also MBA in Finance, a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), Mehta has over 35 years of rich experience in various administrative and functional capacities at Branches, Zonal offices and also at Head office level.
Mehta had started his banking career as an Agriculture Field Officer at Allahabad Bank in 1982.
At PNB, he has replaced Usha Ananthasubramanian, who has now been appointed as Managing Director & CEO of Allahabad Bank.
