Karnataka Bank Ltd has appointed Usha Ganesh, IAS, former member of the Karnataka Administrative Tribunal, as an additional director of the board.
The bank informed the BSE on Thursday that Usha Ganesh was appointed as director at the board meeting conducted by the bank on July 31.
It may be mentioned here that the bank shareholders have been demanding representation for women on the board at the annual general meetings.
Karnataka Bank Chairman, Ananthakrishna, had earlier assured the shareholders that their demand in this regard would be considered.
