Vijaya Bank is looking at a 20 per cent growth in its business in Kerala by focussing on retail and MSME-sector lending this fiscal.
The bank, with its two regional offices in Kochi and Kozhikode, netted a business of ₹5,156 crore in the previous fiscal ended March 31.
CH Rajasekhar, Regional Manager, told reporters here that the bank is also concentrating on government funding to provide assistance to infrastructure and other developmental projects in the State.
On priority sector lending, he said it has registered a 44 per cent growth in Kerala, which is expected to grow further due to the focus on the MSME sector. The bank is also planning to organise a campaign to attract NRI investments.
