Kolkata-based microfinance company Village Financial Services (VFS), on Friday, announced the opening of its 200th branch at Khowai in Tripura.
VFS, a microfinance company registered as an NBFC, has set itself a target to reach out to 20 States within 2020.
“We are in the process of infusing fresh funds to support the growth and plan to enter four more states by FY18,” Kuldip Maity, MD and CEO, VFS, said.
With the Khowai branch, the microfinance company now has 200 branch offices across Uttarakhand, Tripura, Odisha, Sikkim, Assam, Jharkahand, Bihar and West Bengal covering over 10,000 villages with a total customer base of 2.56 lakhs.
VFS ended Fy-17 with loan book of Rs 460 crore outstanding.
