In a bid to involve corporates, public sector units, and government organisations for developing a green corridor along national highways through plantation and allied activities, the National Green Highway Mission has initiated the ‘Adopt a Green Highway’ Programme.
“Plantation, road safety and road-side amenities are the top priorities of the Ministry,” said Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, addressing a workshop organised jointly with YES Bank, which is partnering the Ministry in the greening of highways.
