Economy is recovering, but more in K shape

It’s the time of the month when high-frequency macroeconomic indicators such as GST collection data, the PMI Manufacturing index and automobile sales figures are released. Data, especially on record GST collections, point to healthy economic trends, but there are other aspects that offer food for thought.

Economy is recovering, but it’s more K-shaped

Chief Economist of Care Ratings, Rajani Sinha, highlights positive economic indicators, including high GST collections, double-digit revenue growth for companies, and a record number of domestic flights. The combination of factors such as compliance, recovery in the economy, and strong domestic demand leads to a robust GST collection.
