Ten children were killed on Tuesday and at least 30 injured when their school bus collided head on with a truck in north-western India, police said.
The bus was taking the children to a school in Rajasthan state’s Hanumangarh district, police official Shyam Ram said.
Seven children died on the spot while three succumbed in hospital.
They were aged between 9 and 16, police said.
The cause of the accident was not yet clear.
“Both the truck driver and the bus driver ran away. We are looking for them,” Ram said.
