Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao has inaugurated SRiX or SR Innovation Exchange, a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at Warangal.
Located in SR Engineering College campus in Warangal, the one-lakh sq ft incubator is being with an investment of ₹14 crore. The Department of Science and Technology (DST) will contribute ₹9 crore for establishing the centre. SRiX, which is open for start-ups from across the country, will focus on areas like agriculture, clean tech and Internet of Things. The incubator also has a prototyping facility.
Addressing a gathering , the Minister assured the start-ups that the government government would extend all support for their growth by being their customer.
SRiX will work with the newly formed Warangal Chapter of The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE) and Kakatiya Angles, the angel fund being developed by high-networth individuals hailing from the region.
