M Venkaiah Naidu, Minister for Urban Development, ordered dismissal from service of R Kennadi, Executive Engineer (Civil) on March 2, while RV Suresh Kumar, Assistant Engineer (Civil), was dismissed earlier by the Director General of CPWD.
The dismissals followed the duo’s conviction under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The two were sentenced to three years’ imprisonment and a fine of ₹50,000 each on three counts.
