The upcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will have screening of 325 Indian and foreign language films during the ten-day event to begin on November 20, officials said today.
The IFFI will witness 74 countries participating in the event and showcasing 325 films, Film Festival director Shankar Mohan told reporters here today.
The number of delegates has also been increased from less than 10,000 last year to almost 15,000 this year, he said.
Of the total films to be screened, 180 would be foreign movies, Mohan said.
Czech comedy film ‘The Don Juans’, directed by Jiri Menzel, will open the festival where American Academy award winning actress Susan Sarandon will be the chief guest.
Film personalities including legendary singer Asha Bhosle, actress Rekha, actor-filmmaker Kamal Hassan and veteran actor Manoj Kumar will be present for the inaugural ceremony, organisers said.
