Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials on Friday seized 6 kg of smuggled gold from two women, one of them an Air India Express employee, arriving from Dubai. A DRI official told Business Line that the women, who were still being questioned, seemed to have smuggled in gold earlier too. Air India has suspended the woman flight attendant who had been off duty when she was caught smuggling gold. The two concealed six gold bars of 1 kg each in their inner jackets. The contraband is valued at around Rs 1.9 crore, the DRI official said.
