The Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to offer Rs 5 lakh as ex-gratia to the families of the deceased construction workers from the State who lost their lives in the Chennai building collapse.
As per the directives of the State Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, it was also decided to offer ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 to the injured and reimbursement of total medical expenses and relief of Rs 25,000 to each affected family towards wage loss and miscellaneous expenses apart from free accommodation, food and local transport during their stay in Chennai.
The Government also decided to provide transport for their return journey to AP.
