Bajaj Auto has launched its new 200cc Pulsar 200NS in Chennai. Though Bajaj launched this model in Mumbai six months ago, it took time for roll out in other markets. “The demand was so overwhelming in Mumbai and Pune markets that we have to ramp up production before we enter into other markets,” said Mr R. Chandrashekar, General Manager (Sales), Bajaj Auto.
Priced at Rs 86,936/ex-showroom in Tamil Nadu, the bike comes with six-speed gear box and front and rear disc brakes. It comes in four colours. Announcing the launch, Mr Chandrashekar said Tamil Nadu is one of the largest markets for the sports bikes. Bajaj has sold more than 3.8 lakh Pulsars in the State, and is by far the leader in this segment. “We expect the new Pulsar to do extremely well in this demanding market,” he said.
The company plans to progressively launch the model in the rest of the State.
