Belgium has conferred the Commander of the Order of Leopold II, one of its highest civilian distinctions, to Shashikiran Shetty, Chairman of Mumbai-based Allcargo Logistics, for his contributions in strengthening the bilateral economic relations.
Shetty is also head of Ecu Line of Belgium, which the Indian company took over seven years ago. Karl Van den Bossche, Consul General of Belgium in Mumbai, said in a statement that the decoration is awarded to Shetty for creating a significant economic impact at Antwerp Port by the activities of Ecu Line and Allcargo.
