India Yamaha Motor launched two new dealerships – Sreenidhi Motors and Annapurna Auto — here and in Guntur on Friday, according to a press release.
The showrooms were inaugurated by the company’s CEO and MD, Hiroyuki Suzuki, and Director – Sales & Marketing, Jun Nakata, and National Business Head, Roy Kurian.
Fully equipped with 3S set up (sales, service and spare parts), Sreenidhi Motors and Annapurna Auto aim to offer quality service to customers.
They are designed to provide the gamut of Yamaha’s offerings. Hiroyuki Suzuki said, “Andhra Pradesh is a very crucial market for us and we are committed to offering the best of the products from our portfolio to customers here.
In the deluxe segment, which is our mainstay category, Yamaha has 13 per cent market share in Andhra Pradesh, up from 11 per cent last year.
The opening of these new showrooms in Vijayawada and Guntur is in line with our focus to strengthen our foothold in key growth markets."
He said the company had set up modern manufacturing units at Surajpur in Uttar Pradesh and Faridabad in Haryana and it produces motorcycles both for domestic and export markets.
The company has a workforce of more than 2,000 employees and over 400 dealers.
