The 14th Finance Commission has sanctioned Rs 175 crore for the conservation of monuments of archaeological importance in Madhya Pradesh, Culture and Public Relations Minister, Laxmikant Sharma said here today.
He was speaking after releasing a book, ‘The Grandeur of Granite Shiva-Yogini Temples of Vyas Bhadora’ penned by senior bureaucrat Ashok Shah.
The Minister said efforts were on to conserve the ancient temples of Vyas Bhadora and praised Shah for his scholarly work. The most important feature of Vyas Bhadora temples is that they were made of granite stones.
