Inspired by the impact of #MeToo movement, The Annual Asian Women in Leadership Summit (AWLS) is all set to launch a helpline for corporate India enabling both men and women to register their grievances of physical and verbal harassment in workplace.
The helpline will be launched during the Asian Women Leadership Summit 2018 to be held on November 15 in Mumbai.
It will see participants from diverse organisations share and learn some of the best practices to create a culture that promotes gender parity.
The AWLS Summit will focus on gender diversity in senior management. The board will have some eminent speakers including former SBI Chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya, YourStory founder Shardha Sharma, Avtar group’s Saundarya Rajesh.
Gender equality
The focus will also be on how organisations can get more men engaged and promote male advocacy to achieve gender parity.
Social activists, lawyers and industrialists have come forward to lend support and provide guidance to the aggrieved employee on one-on-one and confidential basis.
