Danvanthiri Medical Tourism has launched a mobile app to provide life-saving healthcare services. The app, which has been introduced for the Coimbatore market, would be launched in Chennai and Bangalore in the next quarter, B Sivachenduran, Co-founder and Managing Director, Danvanthiri Medical Tourism said.

Stating that the app would provide complete healthcare services on one platform, Sivachenduran claimed that DMT is the only app in the mobile healthcare category to have introduced six different modules meant for doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, diagnostic centre, patient coordinator and GPS-enabled ‘Save Me’ button. “The Save Me button can be used to alert the registered family member and call the nearest patient coordinator who, based on the situation, would bring along an ambulance, if needed,” he explained

The app would provide services and solutions to patients, such as list of hospitals with locations, specialities, accreditation, procedures and more – and help patients connect with the selected hospitals or facilities and doctors.

The user can get all the facilities of the app for free and also get free storage of up to 1 GB on cloud for preserving health records.

Through the app's Patient Coordinator module, Danvanthiri aims to train the unemployed youth in patient care service. The company is looking to employ 2 per cent of the country's population as patient coordinators by 2022.
