Adani Gas Ltd, which has bagged the city gas distribution (CGD) network project for Udupi district, is planning to invest around ₹8,000 crore.
Kishore Alva, Joint President of Adani Group, said the company shall be investing in excess of ₹8000 crore in the coming eight to 10 years to develop the CGD project. This shall generate close to 10,000 new jobs directly or indirectly, he said.
A press release by the company said here that the Udupi CGD project will provide PNG (piped natural gas) connections to 1.1 lakh households in the district.
Alva said that Adani is focusing on developing natural gas distribution projects across various cities in the country.
