‘Allow people to make mistakes’

Maclean Raphael, Executive Director of Human Resources, India-Sri Lanka at 3M India, urged aspiring managers to be open to making mistakes and learning. “The journey is as - if not more - important than the destination,” said Raphael. Interacting with MBA students at Kristu Jayanti College during the inaugural lecture of Industry Institute Interface, Raphael explained principles of 3M. “Allow people to make mistakes,” he said. ”When people are responsible and are part of an organisation,” he explained, “they are not going to make intentional mistakes.”
