The American Library located at the US Consulate General in Chennai will close temporarily for renovation at the end of business on January 20.
A press release from the American Library said during renovation, members can return books at the Consulate’s Cathedral Road security entrance by calling library staff at +91-44-28574223/28574321/28574041 or by sending an email to chennairefdesk@state.gov or chennaicirdesk@state.gov .
Any overdue charges for items due while the library is closed will be waived. The library will continue to provide limited reference service to patrons by phone, email or letter. The Library will also continue to screen films on Saturdays at 11 am.
