The Supreme Court has asked the Justice Mukul Mudgal Committee to conduct a probe against N Srinivasan, top cricketers in the IPL betting and spot-fixing scandal.
The Supreme Court has asked the committee to submit its report in a sealed envelop by the end of August.
The apex court says a group of investigators headed by senior IPS officer B B Mishra will assist the Mudgal Committee in the probe.
The probe panel will have all the powers to probe, search and seize relevant documents and record evidence, the apex court said.
The committee will have all the powers except the power to arrest, the court said.
Sunil Gavaskar and Shivlal Yadav will continue to do their job as interim BCCI presidents till further orders, the Supreme Court said.
