Asian School of Architecture & Design Innovation (ASADI), said to be the first in the city, will be inaugurated here by State Fisheries and Ports Minister K. Babu on August 19.
The private college will offer five-year Bachelor of Architecture course through the ancient Gurukula system where individual attention is given to each student, Architect B.R. Ajit, Chairman and Director of ASADI. told reporters here.
Currently, the college will function from a rented 14,000 square feet area with all modern facilities. But within a year it would shift to its new campus at Kanjiramattom in Ernakulam district. Once completed, the campus will have a built up area of 42,000 sq.ft. and will be India’s first green building college, he said.
Each batch will have 40 students. Already 17 students have taken admissions, Ammu Ajit, Project Management and HR CEO, said.
The one-year fees would work out to Rs 1.25 lakh and a Rs 50,000 deposit. The college is affiliated to MG University. There are also plans to have a tie up with an international university, he said.
