Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War has crossed the ₹100-crore mark in terms of gross collections at the Indian box office. The superhero flick has collected ₹120.9 crore in terms of gross box office collections in the opening weekend. Net box office collections for the opening weekend stood at ₹94.3 crore. This is the highest weekend collections for any Hollywood movie at the Indian box office.
“The opening weekend numbers are a testament to Avengers: Infinity War creating a cinematic milestone. The success goes to show the ever-increasing fan base and the pop culture phenomena that Marvel as a brand enjoys in India,” said Bikram Duggal, Head of Studio Entertainment, Disney India. In India, the movie has been released in over 2000 screens in Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu.
