Sohan Roy, director of the film ‘Dam 999’ and chief executive of Aries group of companies, has been conferred the Rajiv Gandhi Shiromani Award. Governor of Tripura Devanand Konwar presented the award at a function in New Delhi. Also present was Bhishma Narain Singh, former Governor of Tamil Nadu and Assam. Aries Group has 28 companies engaged in sectors ranging from marine to visual media. Sohan Roy has decades of experience in naval architectural engineering and has executed design projects across the world with a Guinness Book entry for the one on ‘the longest snake boat.’
