N Ramakrishnan, Senior Associate Editor, The Hindu BusinessLine , and Archana Shukla of CNBC-TV18 are the India winners of the Citi Journalistic Excellence Award (CJEA) 2018.
The two journalists will represent the country at an upcoming eight-day study seminar in New York administered by the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and supported by Citi.

In a further recognition of
Ramakrishnan and Shukla will join winners from other countries in New York to participate in workshops and sessions with leading Columbia University faculty members, engage in discussions with senior academics and policy-makers, and visit key financial institutions and US government departments.
Aimed at supporting and advancing quality journalism, the Citi Journalism Excellence Award recognises outstanding business reporting across the globe in many of the countries Citi operates in.
An independent judging panel, comprising a representative from the Reserve Bank of India; Ashok Kumar Bhattacharya, Editorial Director, Business Standard ; Indira Rajaraman, Member of the 13th Finance Commission; Tamal Bandyopadhyay, Consulting Editor of Mint and Adviser, Strategy, Bandhan Bank; and Vineet Nayar, former CEO of HCL Technologies, drew up a shortlist. This was sent to the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism for consideration.
