The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed first chargesheet in multi crore Saradha scam.
Filed in a Kolkata court, the chargesheet named Saradha chief Sudipto Sen, Debjani Mukherjee , TMC leader Kunal Ghose and 4 Saradha Group Companies and one Company of Ghose namely Strategy Media under sections 120 B , 409 and 420 of Indian Panel Code (IPC) and sections 4 and 6 of Prize Chit and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning ) Act 1978.
The agency said that further investigation is on for role of other accused persons and financial transactions.
Pre fabricated shelter scam
In another incidence, the agency registered First Information Report (FIR) against 3 Directors of Sai Baba Builders and Consultants, unknown officials of Cabinet Secretariat and Special Frontier Force (SFF) for repeatedly showing favours in the supply of pre fabricated shelters for SFF at high altitude locations causing undue gain during 2009 and 2013 to the suppliers to the extent of Rs 22 crores approx.
The agency raided three places (2 in Delhi and one in Kolkata) against three directors of Sai Baba Builders - Shyam Sunder Bhatter, Manjari and JPN Singh.
