The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a fresh case in the coal allocation matter against unnamed public servants and Indal (currently named Hindalco), sources in the investigative agency said.
“Searches have been carried out in four places - one in Mumbai and three in Sambalpur, Odisha,” the person added.
Allegations are that the coal was used in unauthorised manner in the existing power plant while the allocation was done for expanding the capacity of the new power plant. Further, mining was started without mine opening permission, the person added.
