About 50 women from marginalised sections have completed a tailoring and textile designing course at CHORD India, a non-governmental organisation.
“They will be given graduation certificates by the project partner Microsoft India, coinciding with the International Women’s Day,” a CHORD India statement said. The NGO is implementing 29 projects in the country, including seven districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. “In the last three years, we implemented Microsoft project, giving training to 600 women in tailoring and soft skills, besides offering remedial courses to 600 school drop-outs,” it said.
