As part of strengthening bilateral economic relations, a business delegation from industry body Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) would embark up on a three-day visit to Vietnam from tomorrow.
The 14-member team led by CII Chairman - Governing Board (Executive and Business coaching) Pradipta K Mohapatra would participate in several business meetings, visit industrial units and academic institutions in Vietnam to explore the business opportunities during the mission.
The delegation would visit industrial units in Vietnam for getting first hand account during the mission. The members would visit Godrej (Vietnam) Company, Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park, Quang Trung Software City Development Company, University of Technical Education, it said.
Some of the Indian companies which have presence in Vietnam include Essar Exploration and Production Ltd, Nagarjuna International (Vietnam) Ltd, ONGC-Videsh Ltd, Philips Carbon and Tata Steel.
According to CII, India is one of the top ten exporters to Vietnam. The two-way trade relations between the two countries in 2011-12 stood at $5.45 billion. The countries have set up a target of reaching $7 billion by 2015.
