CII has appealed to trade unions to cause least inconvenience to the business and industrial community in the State during the proposed strike on February 20 and 21.
The protests should be peaceful in nature and highlight the causes and effects of the issues raised by the trade unions in a professional and just manner, CII said in a statement.
The 48 hour strike should not create an adverse image for Kerala as it is expected to cause huge losses and bring the whole nation to a standstill hurting the country’s economy, C.J. George, Vice-Chairman, CII-Kerala, said.
He urged the trade unions to safeguard the sentiments of the business community and thus prove that Kerala has broken the shackles of labour issues that has been plaguing the State for a long time and is ready to transform itself into a hub for businesses and investments across the nation.
