MV Samjohn Solidarity, carrying 1,64,928 tonnes of coal for Adani Enterprises Ltd, is anchored at Sandheads. The vessel, after discharging 1,00,000 tonnes at Sandheads – off the Haldia Dock Complex — will proceed to Paradip to unload the remaining cargo.
According to a release issued by the Kolkata Port Trust, the vessel was anchored at Sandheads on October 17. Two floating cranes are used for loading cargo into barges. The cargo will be brought to the floating jetty at Haldia for final discharge, KoPT said in its release.
