Confusion prevails in Andhra Pradesh whether the state assembly will take up discussion on the bifurcation bill (Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill) today or not.

The list of business for the fourth day of the secession does not contain any mention of the bill.

Though the bill was introduced yesterday, there is confusion whether the discussion was started or not.

The two bills mentioned in today's business are the AP Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Bill 2013 and the AP Land Grabbing (Prohibition) (Amendment) Bill.

The list included discussion on relief measures for cyclone victims.

This business was decided by the business advisory committee much before the reorganisation bill arrived.

However, it was tabled in the House yesterday but could not continue discussion.

The speaker is expected to convene a BAC meeting shortly to discuss the issue.
